Fort Lauderdale Vision Action Plan - Fort Lauderdale, Florida

PlaceMatters is partnering with Wallace, Roberts, and Todd to help the City of Fort Lauderdale create a Vision Action Plan. This plan will build upon existing plans to create a comprehensive vision that reflects the hopes and views of all residents. PlaceMatters will focus on engaging the public, including typically underrepresented populations, via a series of public workshops and multi-media input methods. This process will be a broad-based, community focused process to produce a vision plan for the next century that will guide the City Commission in their policy and decision-making.

Tools and Methods

The public engagement process soon will be finalized in collaboration with the City and the project team. The public workshops will likely use our networked laptop system and Brainstorm Anywhere, developed by PlaceMatters' Decision Lab, and keypad polling, but these methods have not yet been finalized.

Outcomes

The final product of this process will be a long-term vision, with clear implementation steps, to help guide the City in prioritizing actions and determining policy.
